The students at sixth form are encouraged to be very experimental, both with ideas and materials. They should be pushing boundaries with the resources that they find / use. They should ask questions, why draw? What is drawing? What am I drawing for and how can I develop a new way to draw for me. What artists can I find that draw in predictable and unpredictable ways.
This is one brilliant example of the kind of questions our students ask themselves and the responses they give. The A2 sketchbooks are made by the students; one of the first decisions they make are the surface that they wish to work on and how they might manipulate it!
