Year 8 Ceramics day….

Year 8 have been off timetable today to participate in an all day ceramics workshop. They created challenging large scale and complex pieces. We were very impressed by their craftsmanship, and look forward to seeing them glazed with exciting new colours…

Year 9 are using natural forms and seeds to inspire their clay pieces…. They are going to glaze their pieces in greens and vanilla colours…

Celebratory Collaborative Ceramics Piece to commemorate 20 years of arts specialism. 

Staff and students are, this week, contributing to a celebratory collaborative art piece to commemorate 20 years of arts specialism.
Members of staff and students have spent an hour making a tile based on their own unique experience of Arty Marylebone, from a specific memory or a physical aspect of the school (an architectural feature that means something). The tiles will be installed on the School wall outside as a permanent feature. A huge thank you to Joely Clinkard, without her support, this would have not been possible…

Y10 Coursework.

Y10 groups are all involved in different aspects of making. Some are using pen and ink to develop drawing skills and other groups are making natural forms from clay. Here are some samples of their fabulous work…

 

Our Museum

Year 12 have spent the last two weeks thinking about artifacts and museums. They have made their own museum by collating objects, making their own pieces and curating them.
