Year 7 and 8 have been painting winter and Christmas scenes by the Howard de Walden Estate Christmas Card competitions. There are some very well painted and drawn entries, these are some highlights. Very well done!

Year 8 Ceramics day….

Year 8 have been off timetable today to participate in an all day ceramics workshop. They created challenging large scale and complex pieces. We were very impressed by their craftsmanship, and look forward to seeing them glazed with exciting new colours…

Year 8 & 9 Dia de los Muertos workshop

Offered through the Koppel Project, Some students in KS3 participated in a ‘day of the Dead’ themed workshop, making offerings and sugar skulls with artist in residence Greer Pester. As Greer lives in Mexico City, she bought some local delicacies to try.. some tried the roasted crickets….

Stitch-A-Tree-Booklet

Stitch a Tree to show support for refugees.

This project aims to connect communities and individuals across the UK to show support for displaced people around the world. Participants are invited to stitch a tree which will later be arranged into a large embroidery called Forest by artist Alice Kettle. Forest will be displayed at the Whitworth, Manchester, in September 2018 and in progress at City Space Gallery, Winchester Discovery Centre, from 15th October to 26th November 2017.
