Students are all immersed in their exam days or preparation towards them… They have worked extremely hard and we are very proud of their achievements. Here are a few pieces from today…

 

 

 

 

Stations of the Cross

 

Tube Poster Design

The art department work closely with St Marylebone Church, The Serpentine hosted an exhibition last year in two sites, the school and church and from this many more ideas have started to blossom.  The church are hosting an exhibition based on the 14 stations of the cross created and curated by the artist collective ‘art below’, part of their lent exhibition the church offered the art department to contribute to the exhibition and art below has offered them a poster bill board in Regents Park tube station for two weeks. A very exciting prospect, selected students have been busily creating responses to the 14 stations.

Year 9 Weaving

Year 9 are working with paper and fabric to make some beautiful weaves.
Our technician made us 30 frames for looms and now students are using their own materials – ones with personal connections to make a fabric weave. They have looked at artists Shelley Goldsmith and Lucy Brown.
